Check Me Out

I probably got my first library card when I was eight, probably just to fill the empty compartments in my sparkly purple wallet. With it began my love affair with books. Years later I became a library employee, moving from behind the shelves to behind the desk. There also began my interest in book publishing. I desperately wanted to be behind the scenes.

Recently my perspective has shifted. I am not seeing things from the vantage point of a library assistant, but from a publisher’s point of view. Check It Out is a blog interested in the digital world and what these changes mean for publishers and in turn, for libraries. I will explore borrowing eBooks, eBook distributors, applications and more!
